The baking stone is safe to use in conventional and microwave ovens. Extreme temperature changes can crack the natural ceramic disc, it is always best to place the stone in the oven as it pre-heats, never put a hot baking stone straight into cold water or the freezer.  Dishwasher cleaning is not recommended as the porus surface will absorb dishwasher soap.
